DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO SEE THE BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES!
Then I stumbled upon THIS:
THEY DON'T OFFER IT IN MY COLOR!
I was more than disappointed, I was so upset because I had fallen head over heels in love with this dress. But, I shared it with my bridesmaids anyways. Their responses were that they loved it, that it was very pretty, etc. But then, comments that it is a little short for their liking and they prefer straps on it.
I put the idea in the back of my mind (well, as much as I could), there was no way to get this dress.. it's a little out of the price limit, the colors aren't offered and my bridesmaids wouldn't feel 100% comfortable in it. But one night, while tossing and turning and trying to fall asleep, I couldn't get this dress out of my head. Then it dawned on me, I'm getting my wedding dress custom made (more on that later).. why couldn't I get this dress custom made in my colors (tiffany blue and chocolate), with straps, and maybe just a tad bit longer?!
So, I contacted the lady who is so kindly making my wedding dress and she said she would do anything, anytime to help me (not to mention, she LOVES that I'm doing things so early so she's not rushed and can reallllly take her time with my dresses). I was SOLD!
I think halter straps would look great with the dress and the main part of the dress will be tiffany blue and have a chocolate sash with the rhinestone embellishment. Now, I'm just going to wait awhile before I set up all the details of the custom order and go ahead and push it through. I may be one to get things done early, but I'm not about to completely rush my wedding party when there is still 13 months to go.
